WHAT DOES A SESSION INCLUDE?
Family Session: This session includes planning a custom session that fits your personality and vision, up to 60 minutes in front of the camera, and up to 40 fully edited, delivered images come digital download with a print release.
Senior High Session: This session includes planning a custom session that fits your personality and vision, wardrobe consult for up to 3 looks, up to 90 minutes in front of the camera, and 40 fully edited images delivered by digital download with a print release.
HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?
Family Session: Up to 60 minutes in front of the camera.
Senior High Session: Up to 90 minutes in front of the camera.
Session times are estimated and depending on the circumstances of your photo shoot we may not need the full time allotted for you and your family. This decision is based on a number of factors including but not limited to: behavior, interaction, lighting, and number of family members.
WHAT IS THE COST PER SESSION?
Family Session: All family sessions are $300 payable no later than the day of your session.
Senior High Session: All senior high sessions are $350 payable no later than the day of your session.
DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF MN?
While my home base is the St. Cloud, MN area I am certainly willing to travel. Arrangements and further details will be provided upon request.
CAN WE BRING OUR PETS TO THE SESSION?
Absolutely – these sessions are about your life and your pets are a huge part of that. Make sure to mention when booking if you want to includeyour animals so we can pick an appropriate location.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH EXTENDED FAMILIES?
No. The style of my photography is better focused on immediate families. I am happy to recommend another photographer for larger groups.
I am an on location, natural light, lifestyle photographer in the St. Cloud area specializing in family and senior portraits. I yearn for my photos to capture human emotion. I am a firm believer that the interactions between you andthe ones you love are more important thanany smile you could flash at my camera. Your goofy grin, your squinty-eyed belly laugh, a gentle gaze at your little one’s face – these are the things that make you a family. Since I’m a lifestyle photographer, my
sessions are typically run with casual posing and direction while encouraging families tointeract. I wait for the laughs, the smiles and the soft embraces that tell the story of our time together. A glimpse inside your beautiful family!
Sometimes with children, this style can feel alittle chaotic. If you embrace that chaos, relax and have fun with it, I assure you we’ll get some great images no matter what other plans your children have.
WHEN ARE SESSIONS AVAILABLE?
Sessions are available Monday through Saturday year round.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?
Sessions available each week are limited in order to provide the best experience for each of my clients. If you’d like to schedule a session, I recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance.
HOW DO I RESERVE A SESSION?

WHEN SHOULD I PAY FOR MY SESSION?
Payment is due by the day of your session, no exceptions. You will receive an email invoice the week before your session.
WILL YOU HELP US PLAN FOR OUR SESSION?
In the weeks before your session date, we will chat about your style and vision for your portrait experience. We’ll talk about your personalities and family dynamics, desired “look” and locations that might work for your family. We can do this on the phone or over e-mail. We will also discuss what you can expect from me during your session. I’m happy to answer any questions you have.
WHERE WILL WE SHOOT?
As an exclusive on location photographer, it is important to put thought and energy into choosing amazing locations for your portrait session.
When you book your session we’ll start thinking about a location by discussing the type of environment you would like for your session. Some ideasinclude:
• NATURAL: more green, flowers, trees, walkways
• COUNTRY: wide open spaces, fields, rustic buildings
• URBAN: buildings, alleys, city sidewalks
And of course personal requests are always welcome!
WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF DAY FOR A PORTRAIT SESSION?
I typically book sessions in the morning or early afternoon/evening to ensure we have the best light to work with. 60-90 minutes after sunrise and before sunset is the best. Why? Because in the middle of the day, direct sunlight means high contrast, squinting subjects and unflattering shadows. Occasionally a location will accommodate time outside of this preference and will be considered on request. Based on the location we choose for your session, we will decide together based on your schedule, the time of day and lighting where we will work in order to maximize the location for your session.
DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO?
No. I am on location photographer only.
HOW WILL YOU GET A NATURAL SMILE FROM MY CHILD AND FAMILY?
I look to capture a range of your child’s expressions, from natural smiles to serious looks. All of these expressions are facets of your family’s personality. The goal is to create a light and playful mood at each session. I encourage you to refrain from telling your child to say “cheese” as this does not promote authentic smiles. In addition there’s no harm in offering a “reward” for following directions and good listening skills, but please avoid punishment for misbehavior. Nothing destroys a photo session faster than punishing a child.
As a lifestyle photographer, I will guide you while always watching for those in between moments where your personalities shine! What matters most to me, is capturing the raw, real and authentic moments. So have fun and relax. Children sometimes have their own plans, that’s ok – embrace the chaos. Iwill capture your real life as it unfolds in front of my lens. Hugs, kisses and laughing out loud are all encouraged.
HOW SHOULD WE DRESS FOR OUR PORTRAIT SESSION?
I recommend that you choose simple, textured apparel that reflects your personality. For example: jeans, layered hand knits, corduroy, and wraps with a loose weave. Choose clothes that are flattering to your figure and you’re comfortable in. Avoid clothes with strong patterns, logos or high contrast stripes.

• Moms should pick out their outfits first. Then coordinate the rest of the family. • If you decide to wear jeans, I highly recommend they be the same tone of jeans.
CAN WE CHANGE CLOTHES DURING OUR SESSION?
Family Session: No. There is simply not enough time in a session for outfit changes.
Senior High Session: Yes. Up to three outfit changes are included in these sessions.
DO YOU DELIVER EVERY IMAGE YOU TAKE?
No. I can easily take 100 or more photographs during the time allotted for your session, but it is my job as a photographer and artist to sort through those images and narrow down the selection I provide you to the very best. I provide a variety of images, fully edited and packaged for your delivery.
CAN I HAVE ALL THE IMAGES FROM THE SESSION IF I PAY MORE?
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY IMAGES AFTER A SESSION?
Please allow 15 days (families) or 3 weeks (seniors) for your final images to be mailed. You will receive an email from Pixiset with your images ready for download.
DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?
No. If price is a concern, periodically I offer mini-sessions.
WHAT IS A MINI SESSION?
Periodically I host a mini session special. All mini sessions are $180. Mini session dates are announced on the LifePrints Facebook Page, Blog and Instagram. Reservations for mini sessions are taken by e-mail on a first come first served basis.
DO YOU OFFER GIFT CERTIFICATES?
I certainly do! What a great gift for family and friends.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
I do allow for makeup sessions within my calendar, reserved for cancellations in the event of poor weather and illness. Cancellations for any other reason can be rescheduled based on regular session availability.
